Commitment against CSEA
FreeTime, developed by FreeTime, has a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA), including the production, distribution, or storage of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.
Age restriction
FreeTime is intended exclusively for people aged 18 or older. We apply the following measures to enforce this requirement:
- The app requires phone number verification (OTP) at registration.
- On Google Play, distribution is restricted to users Google has determined to be of age.
- Our Privacy Policy explicitly states that the service is not intended for children under 16, and any account detected as belonging to a minor will be deleted.
- Our Terms of Use require users to be 16 or older and to use the app in accordance with applicable law.
Service design
FreeTime is an app for coordinating leisure plans between adults who already know each other. Its design structurally limits abuse risks:
- No unknown users: connections can only be created between people who know each other mutually and add each other reciprocally. There is no mechanism for searching or discovering unknown users.
- No public content: messages and plans are visible only to the participants of each conversation. There are no public profiles, walls, or feeds.
- No user media: the app does not allow uploading images, videos, or files in the chat. Exchange is limited to text.
- Not a dating app: FreeTime is designed for friendship and leisure plans among acquaintances, not for contact between strangers.
Prohibited content
Strictly prohibited in FreeTime is any content that:
- Depicts, describes, promotes, or facilitates the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors.
- Constitutes grooming, harassment, or any form of inappropriate contact with minors.
- Violates applicable legislation on the protection of minors.
This prohibition is explicitly stated in our Terms of Use (section 6: Acceptable use).
Detection and response
- Any account detected as belonging to a minor will be deleted immediately.
- Any content that violates these standards will be removed and the responsible account suspended or deleted, without prior notice.
- If we detect possible child sexual abuse material (CSAM), we will report it to the competent authorities and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable, in accordance with current legislation.
How to report
If you find content or behaviour that may violate these standards, write to us immediately at privacidad@freetime.club. We will treat all reports urgently and confidentially.
