How to delete your account from the app
You can delete your FreeTime account at any time directly from the app, without needing to contact anyone:
- Open FreeTime on your phone.
- Go to Settings (icon in the top-right corner of the main screen).
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Once confirmed, it is not possible to recover the account or any associated data.
What data is deleted
When you delete your account, FreeTime permanently erases all personal data linked to it:
- Profile: display name, phone number, language, and time zone.
- Connections: the list of friends you were mutually connected with.
- Availability: the time slots you had configured.
- Matches: all plan suggestions and your responses (I'm in / pass).
- Messages: in-app chat content with your connections.
- Interests and preferences: selected interests and notification settings.
- Contact hashes: the encrypted identifiers from your contacts that you had shared.
What data is retained and for how long
In some specific cases we may retain certain data after account deletion:
- Legal obligation: if Spanish or European law requires us to keep a record (e.g., for tax or fraud-prevention regulations), we will retain it only for the legally required period.
- Defence against claims: if there is an active dispute or claim related to your account at the time of deletion, we may retain the strictly necessary data until it is resolved.
Outside these exceptional cases, we retain no personal data once the account is deleted.
Can't access the app?
If you do not have access to the app and need to request deletion of your account and data, write to us at privacidad@freetime.club stating the phone number associated with your account. We will process your request within a maximum of 30 days.
